Fownhope is a vibrant community with lots to do
Local things to do include fishing, canoeing, horse riding and plenty of other outdoor activities, or you could treat yourself to easy time with gentle Herefordshire strolls, a look around the north of the county's black and white houses, the likes of Eastnor and Goodrich castles are within nine miles, or the Hereford Cider Route (picking up samples along the way, of course).

Flicks in the Sticks
On the first Friday of every month, excepting July and August, we show a newly released, an old classic or comedic British film.
Hereford Cathedral
Hereford Cathedral is home to Mappa Mundi, a medieval map of the world created around 1300 by Richard of Holdingham.

Fownhope is surrounded by stunning countryside and is situated along the River Wye. Explore the many local walks on offer.
Canoeing down the Wye
Explore the area from a canoe. Either bring your own, or hire one, and launch it from the floating pontoons at Lucksall.

Cycling in Haugh Woods
Haugh Woods is 850 acres of woodland with a car park. There are many cycle trails which make it perfect for a family day out.
