Membership
All council members serve on this group and, as strategic and financial information is likely to be discussed, non-councillors are prevented from serving on this Working Group. However, experts may be invited to assist with specific issues.
Roles & responsibilities
The Working Group meet at least once each year with the following remit:
- Organise an annual training session for the whole council where strategic issues can be discussed.
- Discuss governance issues such as review of Working Groups, Policies and Standing Orders.
- Develop and monitor the five year Forward Plan (Forward Plan Working Group: Cllrs Lavinia Smith and Gareth Williams with the Clerk).
- Ensure Vision is being achieved.
