Cubs and Scouts
About
For Fownhope Cub Scouts (boys and girls aged 8-10½ years) there’s never a dull moment. Featuring activities such as farm and fire-station visits, climbing and chip-shop surveys, art projects and outdoor adventures, our programme is packed with excitement. For extra challenges, we also enjoy weekend camps as well as trips further afield. You’ll learn new skills, make new friends and most importantly, have fun!
Leaders and Cubs work together to plan a range of activities which fit into six different zones: Beliefs and Attitudes, Community, Creative, Fitness, Global and Outdoor and Adventure. We work towards different challenge and activity badges, ensuring that the activities we do are fun, interesting and cater for the different interests and learning styles of our Cubs.
We meet every Monday from 6:00pm until 7:30pm. Meetings usually take place at Fownhope New Memorial Hall but we can often be found out and about in the local area.
Owing to the founding of a new Scout Troop within the village, we currently have some spaces in our pack. We’d love to welcome some new young people and include them in our adventures.
