We’re an active, sociable group that’s been running since 2000. We meet on the second Saturday of every month at 10am. Work continues until around 3pm depending on how the spirit moves.
Over the last ten years we’ve carried out practical conservation work on the Herefordshire Wildlife Trust nature reserves around Fownhope. Coppicing in Lea & Pagets Wood, erecting protective deer fencing, building steps to improve access in Nupend Wood, brash clearing at Wessington Pasture, and so on. All training and equipment provided.
Volunteers under 18 years of age will be required to provide a signed parent/guardian consent form before being able to volunteer. You’ll be made very welcome, and will leave knowing you’ve contributed in a positive way to protecting and increasing biodiversity in our wonderful landscape, and had a great day in the fresh air.
