Your friendly local film club

Flicks in the Sticks puts on a film show on the first Friday of each month, from September to June. The films are usually fairly current – within no more than a couple of years from their general release date. We are always open to suggestions, so if there is a movie you would particularly like to see and which you feel would appeal to our audiences, please let one of our Flicks team know about it.

A typical show will start with doors open at 7pm and the film starting at around 7.30pm, after a short introduction from one of our Flicks team. We usually show trailers of forthcoming films during the half hour before the main movie starts.

The shows are very informal and as much a social event as an opportunity to enjoy a movie that you might have missed. So we normally have a twenty minute interval about half way through the film, during which you can buy a Magnum ice cream or have a free coffee or tea and biscuits and a chat with friends or soon-to-be friends. The shows normally finish before 10pm.

The entrance fee is only £4.00 for adults and £2.50 for minors under 16.

We provide Magnum ice creams at £1.50, or free tea or coffee in the interval.

We have now become a fixture on the social calendar of Fownhope and we need your support to keep this wonderful opportunity alive for everyone to enjoy.

Please contact Pat Williams, Promoter, with any questions.
