Katherine Kear – “White Knights”
Flower demonstration by Katherine Kear. Refreshments will be available. As usual we will hold a raffle with the prizes being the floral arrangements. Visitors very welcome at £5 on the door, including refreshments.
Fownhope Flower Club was formed in the early 1980s and became affiliated to NAFAS a year later. We belong to the Three Counties and South Wales Area.
The aim of the Club is to enjoy, inspire, educate and encourage all forms of Floral Art. We also use these skills to support Charity Organisations with fundraising and displays.
For many years we have organised an Advent Market on the last Saturday morning in November in the New Memorial Hall. There are many stalls offering all manner of homemade goods and preserves, and a Mammoth Raffle. Our Christmas themed stall sells Christmas arrangements, wreaths and decorations and gives members a chance to show their flower arranging skills. The event is always great fun and is a really happy, festive prelude to Christmas.
The Club meets at The New Memorial Hall in Fownhope on the third Thursday of the month (excluding August and December). The evening commences at 7.15pm.
The Club Dinner takes place in January and we usually have one outdoors meeting in the Summer.
We always welcome new members and visitors.
