Fownhope New Memorial Hall is an unincorporated registered charity, non-profit-making, and exists to provide a sports, social and educational facility for the benefit of everyone in Fownhope and the local area. Registered Charity Number 520951.

The original Indenture that formed the constitution for Fownhope New Memorial Hall operated virtually unchanged until 2009, when a decision was made by the Hall committee to review this in the light of the changing needs and interests within the Fownhope Community.

The main change was to ensure that the Trustees were people actively engaged in managing the Hall, whilst ensuring the continuing engagement of the people who were using the Hall for various activities. The changes allowed for eight Trustees, six of whom would be executive officers with particular responsibilities for the day-to-day running of the Hall:

Chairman
Vice-Chairman
Treasurer
Secretary
Booking Secretary
Building Officer

In addition, there are two non-Executive Trustees who are associated with organisations regularly using the Hall.

The Trustees are elected each year at our AGM, held on the first Tuesday in March, attended by anyone from the area served by Fownhope New Memorial Hall. There are four formal Trustee meetings each year, but of course the Officers with particular responsibilities communicate often and work together to keep things running smoothly.

The current Trustees and Officers are:

Chairman: Ian Quayle
Vice-Chairman:
Bryn Caless
Treasurer:
Teresa Plummer
Secretary:
Jackie Pawsey
Booking Secretary:
Suzanne Parr
Building Officer:
Mark Flannagan
Trustee:
Morrison Sellar
Trustee:
Samantha Clough
