A night with the stars – Planetarium Experience with Usk Astronomical Society
Join us for a state of the art planetarium experience during Dark Skies Week. Usk Astronomical Society will help us explore the constellations and other wonders of the night sky.
PLEASE NOTE there are NO CHAIRS inside the planetarium – you have to sit on the floor so bring a cushion or something soft to sit on! The planetarium experience will be on the ground floor of the building, but part of the event will be held in an upstairs room with the only access up a flight of stairs. Feel free to bring along any binoculars, telescopes or cameras you may have, for advice on their use, astrophotography etc. Weather permitting there may be an opportunity to go outside for some stargazing.

This event is part of the Wye Valley National Landscape’s Dark Skies work, to raise awareness of the impact light pollution on wildlife and human health and wellbeing – and to encourage us to look up in wonder at the starry night sky.
