Talk: National Garden Scheme

“The National Garden Scheme Past and Present”
Speakers: Graham and Angela O’Connell
Graham and Angela are County Organisers of the NGS and will begin by telling us the history of the organisation (it dates back to Victorian times) and then tell us about its work today. They will also be showing pictures of some of our beautiful local gardens which are available to visit.
All profits from the NGS are donated – mainly to nursing and healthcare charities. Last year £3.4 million was given away – a remarkable achievement.
Refreshments will be served after the talk.
Entry for members is free.
Non-members are very welcome at a cost of £3 on the door.
