Community Folk Choir

Fownhope Seasonal Community Folk Choir – Winter Songs.

One of a series of seasonal community choirs through the year, with song sharing in the spring, summer, autumn and winter.

Join us to learn some of the Herefordshire Carols collected locally by Ella Mary Leather and Ralph Vaughan Williams, and some of the carols that are part of the Sheffield Village Carol tradition.

This is in preparation for three Sunday afternoons of pub carolling in Fownhope through December – or just come along to these two November sessions because you would like to learn the songs and enjoy some singing.

All songs will be taught by ear, and no experience is necessary. All voices are welcome, there is no audition, and no-one will be asked to sing on their own. No music reading is required.

For the sessions at the Pavilion we usually ask for a small donation of around £5 per session towards costs.
