Fownhope Flag Association EGM

The committee of The Fownhope Flag Association warmly invites you to an Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) on Monday 3 November at 7:30pm in the Tesco Room.

At this meeting we’ll be putting forward a proposal that the Association becomes a registered charity. The Flag is run entirely by volunteers and we keep our running costs very low – but of course there are still some expenses. By becoming a charity, we’d be able to reduce or even remove some of these costs, freeing up more money to put back into the community.

The Flag has always been about more than just a magazine – it’s a community project to connect, inform and celebrate everything that makes Fownhope special. Becoming a charity is the next step to keep it sustainable for the future.

We hope you’ll join us on 3 November, listen to the proposal, and have your say. The meeting is open to all residents of Fownhope Parish.
