Community Library

The Community Library was opened in 2012, with the help of the Parish Council and use of the Community Room at Faulkner House.

It is a warm comfortable room with easy chairs and everyone is welcome for a chat and a cuppa.

There is a large selection of fiction and non-fiction, and a strong section on local history, travel and walking books/OS maps.

With over 5000 items including DVDs and CDs and a good choice of children’s books, there is something for everyone.

We have excellent links with St Mary’s School and welcome pre-school children every Wednesday in term time to borrow books and hear a story.

All residents of Fownhope and nearby villages are eligible to join and membership is free thanks to the friendly volunteer team, help from the Parish Council and donations from the Friends of Fownhope Library.
