Dark Skies & Astrophotography with Keith Maslin

Fownhope’s dark skies are one of our treasures — and on Saturday 11 April we have a chance to explore them in depth.
Astrophotographer Keith Maslin will be joining us for an illustrated evening of images, insight and conversation. The first part of the evening will feature a talk and slideshow showcasing Keith’s astrophotography, along with a practical look at how the images are captured. Keith will also be bringing some of his equipment, giving a hands-on insight into the cameras, lenses and tracking gear involved.
The second half of the evening will open into discussion. Keith is keen to answer questions — whether about getting started in astrophotography or about how we as individuals, and as a village, can help protect and enhance Fownhope’s dark skies. Having already explored the village’s Dark Skies work, he may have a few questions for us too.
The event is free to attend, but we would be grateful for donations on the night to help cover the costs of putting it on.
