Membership
This group meets approximately every 6 weeks. Interested members of the public are always very welcome.
Current members of the group are Cllrs Gareth Williams (Chair), Kevin Braybrook, Mike Simmons, Tony Kelk, Frank Hemming (Parish Tree Warden) and Peter Neale (Flood Group).
Roles & responsibilities
- Flooding – Discuss future plans and make recommendations to the council (utilising specialist advice where necessary).
- Review annual tree survey and make recommendations to the council on implications.
- Consider environmental implications of council decisions.
- Develop new initiatives/projects arising from the Community Led Plan (2013).
- Energy and energy efficiency projects.
- Consider environmental issues in the local area.
The group focussed efforts on Dark Skies in 2024, and the theme for 2025 is Habitats.
